Our story

Initially launching during the pandemic in 2020 by founder and creative designer Chidi, Petition. was formally known for its streetwear/gorpcore aesthetic. It wasn't until very recently following a deep introspection that Chidi decided to quickly overhaul the label all together with some describing it as being for the neighborhood urban mercenary with a splash of technicality and a dash of optimism. Practical yet complex, Petition. is a cutting-edge label tailored for the modern streetwear enthusiast who thrives at the intersection of style, functionality and innovation. Rooted in the essence of tech wear, our designs blend sleek aesthetics with advanced materials and practical utility. Each piece is skillfully engineered to adapt seamlessly to dynamic city environments, featuring weather-resistant fabrics, modular storage options, and ergonomic cuts that prioritize comfort and mobility. With a focus on sustainability and forward-thinking design, Petition. has meticulously managed to come up with a design language that combines faith, rebellion against conventional societal norms, a strong moral code, a love of social justice, gaming and Japanese anime for an intelligent yet resilient niche group of individuals we affectionately call "Petitioners."
