The People's Strike: A National Walkout For Justice and Accountability
The Issue
**Petition to the United States Federal Government**
We, the undersigned, are citizens, business owners, workers, and residents of the United States of America. We come together to express our deep concerns about the current policies and actions of the federal government that threaten the well-being of our communities, economy, and future.
To demonstrate the seriousness of our concerns, we are prepared to initiate a nationwide walkout of all businesses and a spending freeze from **May 24th to June 6th, 2025**. This action is not taken lightly, but we believe it is necessary to demand accountability and immediate action from our government.
**Our Demands: **
1. **Fully Fund Medicare and Medicaid**
- We demand that Medicare and Medicaid be fully funded and protected from any cuts or reductions. These programs are vital to the health and well-being of millions of Americans, particularly seniors, low-income families, and individuals with disabilities.
2. **Restore Farms to Farmers Who Have Lost Their Land**
- We demand that farmers who have lost their farms due to economic hardship, unfair policies, or other circumstances be given the opportunity to reclaim their land and livelihoods. Support programs must be implemented to ensure their success.
3. **Protect Federal Lands from Sale or Privatization**
- We demand that all federal lands be preserved and protected from sale, privatization, or exploitation. These lands belong to the American people and must be safeguarded for future generations.
4. **Rehire Federal Government Employees**
- We demand that federal employees who have been unjustly terminated or displaced be reinstated to their positions. Their expertise and dedication are essential to the functioning of our government.
5. **Independent Oversight of Media Access to the White House**
- We demand that independent, non-partisan groups oversee and regulate which media outlets are granted access to report from the White House. A free and fair press is essential to democracy.
6. **Protect Immigrants with Temporary Protected Status (TPS), H2-A, EB, and ALL other Visa's
- We demand that individuals with Temporary Protected Status (TPS), H2-A, EB and all other visas be allowed to remain in the United States, provided they have no felony convictions. Additionally, we demand that individuals who have been removed from the country with proper paperwork be allowed to return and reunite with their families.
**Why We Are Taking Action: **
The decisions made by our government have far-reaching consequences for the lives of everyday Americans. We believe that the demands outlined above are not only reasonable but necessary to ensure justice, equity, and prosperity for all.
If these demands are not met by **May 24th, 2025**, we will proceed with a nationwide walkout and spending freeze. This action will demonstrate the collective power of the American people and our refusal to accept policies that harm our communities.
We urge the federal government to act swiftly and responsibly to address these critical issues. The time for change is now. You have been elected to serve the people and your action in these areas was not advertised, nor has it been approved by the American People.
